Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann* is a worldwide organisation dedicated to fostering the playing and enjoyment of Irish Traditional Music.
The Leicester Branch regularly plays host to major events in the Irish traditional music calendar. The popular Echoes of Erin concert tour came to Leicester for the fourth year running in February 2014 (for video clips see our YouTube channel), and in 2012 the Branch hosted the All Britain Fleadh.
In Britain, branches are divided into four regions – London, Midland, Northern and Scottish – all coming under Comhaltas na Breataine.
TO COMBAT THE SPREAD OF THE CORONAVIRUS, ALL MUSIC CLASSES AND SESSIONS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Children wanted!
Do you have children or grandchildren? Or know anyone who has? We could make you really proud of them in no time at all. Just bring them along on a Monday evening for a free taster lesson and it could be the start of a truly wonderful experience for children and grown-ups alike. No previous experience necessary.
