Welcome to Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann* - Leicester. Our passion is Irish traditional music and our mission is to promote the playing and enjoyment of this music in Leicester and Leicestershire.

 

We hold music classes for young people and adults, and stage regular traditional music sessions open to all. 

In 2012 we are playing host to two major events in the Irish music calendar - the Echoes of Erin concert tour on 29th February and the All Britain Fleadh on 23rd and 24th June.

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the largest organisation involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music and culture. We’re a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches around the world.

* The name means Association of Irish Musicians. The pronunciation is approximately 'coal-tas kyol-tory air-an'.
